Staff Software Engineer (Consumer Brand Platform)

Join Veho, a fast-growing logistics technology company, as a Staff Software Engineer. You will be responsible for building tooling that powers the consumer experience on the Veho platform, including delivery tracking, consumer notifications, and support tools. You will work with various cross-functional teams to drive high-impact architectural solutions and hands-on development. • Architecting, building, testing, and deploying full stack applications and APIs that support the consumer experience, including delivery tracking, notifications, and the internal tools which enable support staff to assist consumers.
• Collaborating and adding value through participation in peer code reviews, providing comments and suggestions, and working with technical and non-technical end-users, other engineers, data scientists and product managers in a cross functional, quick moving, and collaborative environment.
• Providing technical leadership and mentorship to other Software Engineers on the team, as well as partnering with other staff engineers outside of the team to align on coherent technical strategy and implementation.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of technical education and work experience
• Excellent communication skills to convey complex technical information effectively to internal and non-technical stakeholders
• Enthusiastic about working closely with data science, product and operations team members to develop creative solutions to never-before-solved problems in a brand new problem space
• Solid software development background including serverless patterns, data structures, and system design
• 4+ years of experience developing software with AWS, TypeScript, Node.js, React and serverless event-driven technologies
• 6+ years of experience building, testing and deploying applications in high traffic production environments
• Enjoys taking initiative, is a self-starter, willing to move fast and ship quick, and is excited about collaborating on big challenges
