Wyndham Grand Pittsburgh Downtown is seeking a friendly, attentive Server who takes pride in delivering excellent service. The ideal candidate is dependable, works well with a team, and stays organized in a busy dining environment.
What You’ll Do
Welcome guests, present menus, and provide friendly, knowledgeable service.
Explain menu items, answer questions, and offer food and beverage recommendations.
Accurately enter orders into the point-of-sale system and communicate special requests to the kitchen.
Follow established procedures for food allergies and dietary restrictions.
Serve food and beverages promptly and check back to ensure guest satisfaction.
Monitor assigned tables, anticipate guest needs, and respond professionally to requests.
Process payments accurately and follow cash-handling procedures.
Set, clear, and reset tables and maintain clean, organized service areas.
Complete opening, closing, and side-work assignments.
Follow food safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service procedures.
Coordinate with kitchen staff, hosts, bartenders, and fellow servers to deliver smooth service.
What You’ll Bring
Previous restaurant or hotel serving experience preferred.
Strong guest service and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple tables while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and payment processing preferred.
A professional appearance and positive, team-oriented attitude.
Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to perform essential duties, including prolonged standing, walking, and carrying trays, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to meet applicable requirements for serving alcoholic beverages.
