Wyndham Grand Pittsburgh is seeking a dependable, organized Accounting Clerk to support the hotel’s daily accounting operations. This role helps maintain accurate financial records, process transactions, and resolve discrepancies while working closely with hotel departments and vendors.
What You’ll Do
Review and process vendor invoices, ensuring proper coding, supporting documentation, and approvals.
Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, guest billing, and collection follow-up.
Review daily revenue reports and supporting records for accuracy.
Reconcile cash deposits, credit card transactions, and assigned accounts; research and resolve discrepancies.
Respond professionally to vendor and guest billing inquiries.
Assist with month-end closing, journal entry preparation, and financial reporting.
Maintain organized accounting files and documentation for audits and record retention.
Follow hotel accounting procedures, internal controls, and confidentiality requirements.
Support the accounting team with additional administrative and financial tasks as needed.
What You Bring
High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework or an associate degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.
Previous accounting, bookkeeping, accounts payable, or accounts receivable experience preferred.
Hotel accounting experience is a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and comfort learning accounting and hotel systems.
Strong accuracy, organization, and follow-through.
Ability to prioritize assignments and meet deadlines.
Professional communication skills and a service-oriented approach.
Ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion.
