Revenue Accounting Transformation Manager

Join Planet, a high-impact company seeking a Revenue Accounting Transformation Manager. In this role, you will lead the modernization, automation, and scalability of our global revenue engine. You will work at the intersection of technical accounting standards, business systems engineering, and data analytics. Your responsibilities will include designing automated revenue subledgers, streamlining Quote-to-Cash workflows, aligning cross-system data, automating footnote disclosures, engaging with commercial strategy, owning audit processes, designing controls, ensuring standards adherence, and managing change.

• Lead the modernization, automation, and scalability of the global revenue engine, ensuring compliance with technical accounting standards (ASC 606).
• Design and configure automated revenue subledgers, modernize end-to-end Quote-to-Cash workflows, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate revenue data.
• Serve as the primary liaison for internal and external auditors on revenue systems, process changes, and automation workflows, ensuring adherence to SOX compliance.

• Proficiency with enterprise data warehouses and BI/visualization tools; solid database query/SQL skills are highly valued
• Success leading cross-functional project teams, managing project risk, and delivering complex system implementations on schedule
• Direct experience implementing, configuring, or managing enterprise ERPs and revenue subledgers/engines (NetSuite ARM, Salesforce, etc.)
• Solid articulate communicator who can effortlessly explain complex technical accounting requirements to engineering teams and technical data concepts to accounting leadership
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Information Systems, or comparable
• 6+ years of revenue accounting experience (combining Big 4 accounting and high-growth corporate finance experience is strongly preferred)
• Hands-on experience with SOX 404 compliance, internal control frameworks, and leading audit walk-throughs for automated IT application controls
• Exceptional cross-functional leadership skills—capable of aligning incentives across Sales Ops, Legal, IT, Product, FP&A, and External Auditors
• Excellent understanding of US GAAP and ASC 606 principles in a complex SaaS, recurring revenue, multi-element, or usage-based business models
