Revenue Accounting Associate

• Support the monthly revenue close process by preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Perform revenue-related account reconciliations to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Assist with revenue recognition activities in accordance with Accounting Standards Codification (ASC) 606 and internal accounting policies.

• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• CPA is a plus or in the process of obtaining CPA
• 1–2 years of relevant accounting or finance experience, preferably with exposure to revenue accounting Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
• Exceptional breadth of interest shown through tangible, self-initiated ventures or deep community involvement; you love trying new things and may possess a demonstrated history of successfully pivoting or starting over in life and work
• Experience preparing journal entries, performing account reconciliations, and supporting monthly financial close processes
• Self-starter mindset with a willingness to take ownership, learn quickly, and adapt in a growing company
• Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to improve workflows, streamline execution, or enhance outputs
• Foundational understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), with familiarity with ASC 606 revenue recognition principles
• High level of precision and attention to detail, with a commitment to maintaining accurate financial records
• Experience with accounting systems and financial reporting tools (i.e. NetSuite, Stripe) is a plus
• Clear written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets (i.e. lookups, pivot tables, etc.)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a natural curiosity to understand financial data and underlying accounting processes
• Familiarity with Software as a Service (SaaS) business models, subscription billing, or payment processing is a plus
