Chief of Staff

Join Vetcove, a rapidly growing company in the veterinary industry, as the Chief of Staff. In this senior, hands-on operating role, you will design, build, and lead the internal operations of the company. You will work closely with the CEO and the leadership team, driving projects, solving problems, and making decisions within your delegated authority. Your work will create more capacity for the leadership team to focus on strategy, major decisions, customer relationships, and Vetcove's next stage of growth.

• Design, build, and lead the internal operations of the company, creating systems and processes that help teams work efficiently.
• Take responsibility for day-to-day operational decisions and execution, proactively identifying issues and resolving them independently.
• Lead internal initiatives from conception to completion, aligning the right people, resolving dependencies, and ensuring decisions translate into action.

• The ability to turn ambiguity into clear priorities, practical processes, and decisive action, seeking input where it matters and moving independently where it doesn’t
• The presence and confidence to represent senior leadership, lead consequential conversations, and make sound decisions within your authority
• A highly proactive, self-directed approach: anticipate needs, determine next steps, and follow through without repeated prompting or detailed instructions
• Exceptional judgment, discretion, and integrity, with the ability to earn the confidence of senior leaders and handle sensitive matters thoughtfully

• Experience in a demanding, growing organization where you improved how the business operated and earned increasing responsibility
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, paired with the judgment to focus on what matters most
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create compelling presentations and concise recommendations
• The credibility and interpersonal skills to work across functions, resolve disagreements, and hold people accountable with clarity and respect
• Bachelor’s degree
• A record of owning complex operations or cross-functional initiatives and delivering excellent results with limited oversight
