Construction Inspector

AECOM is actively seeking a Construction Inspector in our Newark, DE Office for a variety of infrastructure projects throughout the Delaware-Maryland-Pennsylvania tri-state area. Typical assignments may include water and wastewater projects, erosion and sediment control inspection, stormwater facilities inspection, and other projects throughout the tri state area.

Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to:

• Perform construction inspections to ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, codes, and quality standards
• Conduct daily field inspections of water and wastewater construction activities
• Monitor on-site construction progress, workmanship, and contractor activities
• Perform field observations, material sampling, and testing to verify compliance with contract requirements
• Monitoring conformance to quality, performance, specifications, and/or code requirements by performing inspection duties
• Maintain accurate inspection reports, daily records, and project documentation
• Monitor and track quality assurance activities and construction progress
• Participate in pre-construction meetings, punch list preparation, testing, and commissioning activities
• Identify and report deficiencies, deviations, or nonconforming work
• Assist the Senior Inspector with daily inspection responsibilities and other project-related duties under general supervision
