About Our Family
We're a busy, warm, and fun family of five living in the suburbs of Manhattan, with two working parents with demanding careers, three active kids, and a sweet golden retriever who all keep life full and moving fast. Both parents commute regularly, which means the home needs someone who can hold things together with confidence and care while we're away.
We have some great systems already in motion, but we need a capable, proactive partner to tackle organizational projects, help with homework, prepare meals, and keep the weekend to-do list at a minimum. We value trust, reliability, initiative, good communication, and someone who sincerely enjoys becoming an important part of a family’s day-to-day life.
Who You Are / What We're Looking For
The right person for this role is someone who is warm, grounded, and self-directed. You don't need to be told what needs to be done — you notice it and handle it. You're punctual, a strong communicator, and someone who understands what it means to be trusted inside a family's home.
You are energized by the potential for systems and order where there may be chaos. You're comfortable around kids of different ages, can engage them naturally, and know how to strike the right balance between nurturing and structured. You bring a positive, can-do energy and understand that this role requires flexibility, trustworthiness, and a genuine investment in the family's wellbeing.
