Corporate Legal Counsel (Capital Markets)

Join Prosper, a leading financial technology company, as a Corporate Legal Counsel specializing in transactions. In this role, you will work closely with the Capital Markets team on various transactional matters related to unsecured personal loans and credit card products. You will provide creative legal solutions, review and negotiate transaction documents, advise on non-disclosure agreements, and support the Collections and Recoveries teams. • Provide creative legal solutions for complex Capital Markets transactions, such as credit facilities and securitizations.
• Review and negotiate transaction documents for new clients, including agreements for the sale and servicing of unsecured consumer loans.
• Advise Capital Markets on non-disclosure agreements, engagement letters and transaction agreements.

• Demonstrated ability to take ownership and resolve issues with minimal supervision
• J.D. degree and active membership in good standing with a state bar
• Effective and persuasive written and oral communication skills
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently in an evolving environment
• 4+ of law firm and/or in-house experience with increasing responsibility
• Strong judgment and the ability to balance legal risk with practical business objectives
• Experience leading transactional negotiations
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
• Experience in capital markets and structured finance
• Attention to detail, with excellent organizational skills and strong work ethic
