Senior Director / Head of Internal Applied AI

Join SoFi as the Senior Director, Head of Internal Applied AI. In this highly cross-functional leadership role, you will drive enterprise-wide AI adoption, partner with technology and business leaders, and lead AI transformation initiatives that improve operational efficiency and employee productivity. You will serve as a strategic advisor and transformation leader, shaping SoFi's AI roadmap and ensuring meaningful impact across the company.

• Lead enterprise-wide AI transformation initiatives that improve operational efficiency, employee productivity, and growth for SoFi.
• Partner with executive leadership to develop and execute SoFi's AI transformation strategy and roadmap, identifying high-value opportunities for Generative AI and automation.
• Drive organizational change management by building excitement, adoption, and confidence around AI across technical and non-technical teams.

• Deep understanding of modern AI technologies, including Generative AI, LLMs, Agentic AI, AI platforms, and enterprise AI architectures
• Proven ability to translate technical concepts into business outcomes for executive audiences
• Demonstrated success leading large-scale, cross-functional transformation programs within complex organizations
• Strong understanding of enterprise technology architecture, cloud platforms, data ecosystems, and software development practices
• Exceptional executive communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
• Experience partnering with senior executives and influencing decisions across multiple business and technology organizations
• Track record of delivering measurable business value through technology transformation
• Experience establishing governance, operating models, and best practices for emerging technologies
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or a related field
• 15+ years of experience leading enterprise technology strategy, digital transformation, consulting, enterprise architecture, or AI initiatives
• Experience building or scaling enterprise AI Centers of Excellence
• Experience in management consulting with firms such as Slalom, EY, Accenture, Deloitte, McKinsey, BCG, or Bain, leading technology or AI transformation engagements
• Financial services or fintech experience
• Experience with AI product strategy, AI operations, or enterprise AI governance
• MBA or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related discipline
