Director of Revenue Accounting

Join Blend, a leading technology company, as the Senior Director of Revenue Accounting. In this role, you will lead and scale the revenue recognition and billing and collections functions, oversee the end-to-end quote-to-cash process, and manage a growing team. You will also collaborate cross-functionally to ensure streamlined contract processing and billing workflows. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of complex SaaS revenue models, a strong technical accounting background, and experience leading high-performance teams.

• Lead and scale the revenue recognition and billing and collections functions, overseeing the end-to-end quote-to-cash process.
• Ensure compliance with ASC 606, lead technical accounting assessments of customer contracts, and maintain and evolve the Company’s revenue recognition policies.
• Manage updates to Blend’s standalone selling price analysis and transaction price allocation methodologies, and oversee the billings and collections function.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA strongly preferred
• Experience in a public company environment, including SOX compliance and external audit
• Must be able to operate as a player-coach in a lean, fast-moving environment
• A track record of process automation within revenue accounting, with a passion for applying AI to accounting workflows
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and influence outcomes
• Strong systems knowledge (e.g., NetSuite, Salesforce, CPQ, Zuora, or similar platforms)
• Deep expertise in ASC 606, including experience reviewing complex SaaS and subscription-based contracts
• Proven experience leading order-to-cash processes and managing billing and AR operations
• 12+ years of progressive experience in revenue accounting and billing/collections, including 5+ years in a leadership role
