Mobile Software Engineer Intern (Summer 2027)

Join Skydio, a leader in autonomous drone technology, as a Mobile Software Engineer Intern for Summer 2027. As an intern, you will design and refine advanced drone interfaces, contribute to the development of user interfaces for our autonomous flying camera, and improve user experiences through augmented reality and in-app content creation. Ideal candidates are senior or MS-level college students with experience in mobile application development on Android.

• Concevoir, prototyper et affiner des interfaces avancées pour les drones, puis peaufiner une expérience mobile cohérente pour le lancement.
• Contribuer au développement d'interfaces utilisateur pour la caméra volante autonome la plus avancée au monde.
• Améliorer les expériences utilisateur en incorporant la réalité augmentée, la création de contenu dans l'application et les capacités de partage.

• You have a passion for meticulously crafted interfaces that strike the correct balance between ease-of-use, elegance, and power
• Experience in C++ and OpenGL is a big plus
• Bonus points: You’ve shipped code to the App Store or Google Play store and have experienced the joys (and frustrations) of getting feedback from real users
• Experience with IoT or embedded devices using Android NDK
• For Android, we use: Kotlin, Android Studio, Gradle, adb, Linux, and follow best practices for app development using Android Architecture Components and Jetpack Compose
• You appreciate the value of code-review and other collaborative development practices
• Ability to create tools and automate your workflows using Python scripts
