Temporary Legal Counsel (Product Legal)

Join our team as a Temporary Legal Counsel (Product Legal) where you will provide legal support for product initiatives and assist our commercial team with escalations and other matters. You will work closely with cross-functional partners and act as a trusted advisor to business and legal leadership. Your responsibilities will include providing legal advice on product initiatives and emerging AI features, partnering with GTM teams to handle commercial escalations, evaluating AI tools and vendor assessments, and supporting legal priorities across compliance and special projects.

• Provide legal support for product initiatives and help the commercial team with escalations.
• Offer pragmatic legal advice on product initiatives, emerging AI features, and related regulatory topics.
• Evaluate AI tools and vendor assessments to support internal legal and risk standards.

• Proven track record supporting commercial legal
• Bias and drive for action, fast learning, and proactive problem solving
• Preferred: Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP)
• Familiarity with key legal and regulatory frameworks relevant to AI products and systems, as well as general privacy regulations in the SaaS space (e.g., GDPR, CPRA, EU AI Act)
• Demonstrated sound and practical business judgment in counseling clients and navigating complex negotiations and high-pressure situations
• Preferred: Experience evaluating third-party software, AI tools, and vendor security/privacy assessments
• In-house experience at a technology company, with transactional and product counseling experience
• Highly responsive with a service-focused approach to supporting commercial, product, engineering teams
• Preferred: Experience or familiarity with incident response protocols, and relevant notification requirements
• Well-grounded knowledge of intellectual property and SaaS commercial contracts law
• Preferred: Demonstrated interest or experience in cybersecurity and SaaS GTM legal operations
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage a high-volume workload in a fast-paced environment with excellent written and verbal communication skills
