Senior Robotics Software Engineer

As a Senior Robotics Software Engineer, you will lead the design and implementation of complex full-stack solutions, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure seamless integration of features. You will also develop real-time capable software in C++ for Linux, implement vehicle software utilizing ROS and robotics software packages, and build end-to-end testing solutions for data-driven software.

• Lead the design and implementation of complex full stack solutions for intelligent agricultural robots/machines, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance, support, and knowledge sharing to enhance their skills and contributions.
• Participate in and often lead the design and development of software algorithms aimed at improving the accuracy and reducing redundancy in agricultural chemical applications.

• Experience with benchmarking and improving jitter in end-to-end latency (1 yr)
• Up to 20% domestic and international travel required for in-field testing, data collection, R&D, and system deployments at customer sites
• Develop real-time capable software in C++ for Linux
• Develop pub-sub systems that interact with sensors and actuators on robotics systems via CAN and Ethernet (1 yr)
• Implement vehicle software utilizing ROS and robotics software packages such as AOS, Flatbuffers, Protobufs (1 yr)
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field plus 2 years of related experience
• Experience building end-to-end testing solutions for data-driven software, including unit, integration, HIL, and regression testing (1 yr)
• Use git and Bazel to build, test, and deploy vehicle software and firmware (1 yr)
• May work remotely; periodic time in office required; must live within commuting distance of office
