Senior Manager of Platform Engineering

Join Cboe, a leading global markets operator, as the Senior Manager of Platform Engineering. In this pivotal role, you will drive the design, implementation, and management of our cloud-native infrastructure across both public cloud (AWS) and on-premises Linux environments. You will lead a team of platform engineers, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and champion a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.

• Strong understanding of Linux systems administration, networking, security, and compliance requirements across hybrid environments
• Proven experience leading and managing high-performing engineering teams in a fast-paced environment with a record of project delivery and architecture of production systems
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
• In-depth knowledge of cloud-native and platform architecture principles, best practices, and design patterns
• Hands-on experience operating cloud-native workloads on Kubernetes in both cloud and on-premises Linux environments
• Proficiency in container orchestration technologies, especially Kubernetes
• Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, and Jenkins
• 8+ years of experience with major Cloud vendors including AWS, Google Cloud Platform and Microsoft Azure, with strong expertise in AWS
• AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, and/or Kubernetes certifications (CKA/CKAD), or equivalent, are highly desirable
• Thorough understanding of the financial markets a plus
