Senior Cloud Engineer

Join Cboe's Cloud Operations team as a Senior Cloud Engineer. In this role, you will design, automate, and operate infrastructure solutions for cloud-native applications. You will lead project delivery, shape team processes and technical standards, and raise the technical depth of the engineers around you. You should have at least 6 years of experience working with public cloud platforms, strong collaboration and communication skills, and deep hands-on experience deploying and managing Kubernetes and GitOps.

• 6+ years of experience working with public cloud platforms (AWS and GCP preferred) in a professional setting
• Experience designing, deploying, and operating fault-tolerant systems with on-call responsibilities
• Interest in continuous learning and in developing the engineers around you
• Strong understanding of networking, IAM, cloud observability, and common cloud services such as AWS VPC, EC2, S3, SNS, SQS, and Lambda
• Strong experience supporting containerized applications and Linux-based systems
• Familiarity with managing secrets and sensitive configuration using tools such as HashiCorp Vault
• Deep, hands-on experience using Terraform, CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions), and scripting languages (Python) to deploy, maintain, and support cloud infrastructure
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, including working effectively with engineers, security, and operations teams
• Deep, hands-on experience deploying and managing Kubernetes (EKS, GKE) and GitOps (Argo CD)
