Senior Software Engineer (Advisor Experience)

Join Addepar, a leading financial technology company, as a Senior Software Engineer focused on the Advisor Experience team. In this role, you will be the primary owner of the team's user interface layer, crafting modern and intuitive experiences for financial advisors. You will lead frontend architecture decisions, build and maintain component systems, and collaborate closely with Product Design. While your primary focus will be on the frontend, you will also work across the full stack as needed.

• Lead frontend development for the Advisor Experience Secure Messaging product, building rich, performant user interfaces using modern web frameworks.
• Design and maintain scalable frontend architecture, including component libraries, state management patterns, and client-side data layer integration.
• Champion frontend best practices including accessibility, performance optimization, responsive design, and automated testing.

• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without requiring current or future visa sponsorship (for example, employment-based visas such as H-1B, F-1/OPT, or similar), and must be authorized to begin work in the U.S. on their first day of employment
• You've built and maintained component libraries, design systems, or shared UI infrastructure — you care about reusable, well-structured code that other engineers actually want to use
• You have deep experience with at least one modern frontend framework (React, Svelte, Vue, or similar) and genuine curiosity about how they work under the hood. Experience with Ember.js migration is a strong plus
• You're familiar with AI-assisted development workflows and see them as a natural part of how modern software gets built
• You have a strong intuition for frontend performance and know how to diagnose and resolve issues across the rendering and bundling pipeline
• You have 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with most of that time focused on frontend development
• You have a B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or a similar technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• Experience with real-time data, messaging infrastructure, or rich interactive experiences is a plus — especially if you've worked with web sockets or streaming APIs
• You're comfortable navigating a backend codebase when needed — reading and contributing to server-side code in Java, Node.js, or similar
• You have a background or strong interest in fintech, wealth management, or financial advisor workflows
