Sales Development Representative

Join Astronomer as a Sales Development Representative (SDR) and be the first point of contact for prospective customers. You'll identify and qualify high-potential leads, introduce them to Astro, and set up meaningful conversations for our Account Executives. • Identifying and qualifying high-potential leads, introducing them to the company, and setting up meaningful conversations for Account Executives.
• Researching and engaging potential customers through outbound calls, emails, and LinkedIn to build a strong, consistent pipeline.
• Assessing inbound and outbound leads for fit across needs, budget, and intent to convert them into Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs).

• Able to break down technical concepts and connect them to what a prospect actually cares about

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a knack for crafting outreach that actually gets responses
• 1+ years of experience B2B outbound prospecting experience, business development, and/or full cycle sales experience required. (internships included)
• Exposure to the data engineering or analytics space — bonus if you've heard of Apache Airflow
• Hands-on experience with CRM tools like Salesforce or HubSpot, sales automation platforms, or LinkedIn Sales Navigator
• Experience selling to technical personas like data engineers, analytics leads, or CTOs
