Staff Software Engineer (Files Platform)

Join Addepar's Files Platform team as a Staff Software Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining Addepar's enterprise file management platform, tackling challenges related to distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and enterprise-scale access control. You will collaborate with product managers, engineers, security, and compliance partners, and mentor other engineers on the team. • Architect, implement, and maintain backend services that manage file storage, permissions synchronization, and third-party integrations at enterprise scale.
• Design and build event-driven systems for real-time permission propagation across Addepar's financial graph and external storage providers, meeting compliance revocation SLAs.
• Mentor other engineers on the team and promote engineering best practices and principles, while collaborating effectively with product managers, engineers, security, and compliance partners.

• Experience with server-side languages like Java, Python, or C++
• Experience with relational databases (MySQL, Postgres, SQL Server)

• Ability to complete complex projects involving partners across multiple teams
• B.S., or M.S. in Computer Science or similar technical field of study
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
