Head of Legal

Join Amperity as the Head of Legal, where you will lead the legal function and serve as a trusted advisor to the executive team and business leaders. In this hands-on leadership role, you will set the legal strategy and operating model for the company, advise on complex enterprise transactions, product development, privacy, AI, employment, corporate matters, partnerships, and strategic decisions. You will also establish a modern, speed-oriented, and commercially aligned legal operating model centered around an AI-first strategy. Success will be measured by Amperity's ability to make better decisions, move faster with appropriate risk, and scale without Legal becoming a bottleneck.

• Lead the legal function and serve as a trusted advisor to the executive team and business leaders, setting the legal strategy and operating model for the company.
• Establish a modern, speed-oriented, and commercially aligned legal operating model centered around an AI-first strategy, embedding AI directly into daily legal operations.
• Improve the speed and predictability of commercial contracting while maintaining appropriate protections, and establish a legal operating model with clear ownership, approval standards, playbooks, and escalation paths.

• You have a JD and are an active member in good standing of at least one U.S. state bar
• You have built or improved legal processes that help a business operate at scale
• You use AI in your own work and can identify where it improves legal workflows, alongside the controls those workflows require
• You communicate clearly, work effectively across functions, and pair candid advice with ownership of business outcomes
• You can advise senior leaders across a broad range of matters, make practical recommendations, and recognize when specialist expertise is needed
• You have led legal work in an enterprise technology, SaaS, cloud, data, or AI business, including complex commercial transactions
