Commis Chef - Indian M/W/X

We are seeking a Commis Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team at an exciting new Indian restaurant in Brussels.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and cooking of Indian dishes, including curries, tandoor specialties, and starters.
• Support the Chef and kitchen team in daily operations.
• Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet restaurant standards.
• Handle tandoor equipment with proficiency, preparing items such as naan, kebabs, and grilled dishes.
• Perform kitchen tasks such as chopping, marinating, and pre-cooking ingredients.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen, following HACCP protocols.
• Monitor and organize inventory of ingredients and supplies.
• Prior experience (1-3 years) in an Indian kitchen, with a focus on tandoor cooking.
• Basic knowledge of Indian culinary techniques and ingredients.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong teamwork skills and a willingness to learn and grow.
• Good understanding of hygiene and safety standards in the kitchen.
• Basic communication skills in English.
