Senior Product Design Engineer

Join our team as a Senior Product Design Engineer, where you will play a crucial role in the research, development, and implementation of new products. You will work cross-functionally, innovate new ways of doing things, and collaborate with design teams to advance 3D printing technology. This position requires a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in mechanism and mechatronic product design, as well as expertise in cross-disciplinary hardware prototyping, high-volume manufacturing techniques, and statistical tolerance analysis. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to research, develop, and implement new products, focusing on innovation and improvement.
• Utilize systems thinking to research and test new ideas, converting them into functional prototypes, and partner with design engineers to finalize designs for manufacturing.
• Leverage hands-on experience in mechanism and mechatronic product design to contribute to the system architecture of a product.

• 5+ years of hands-on, mechanism and mechatronic product design experience, including contributing to the system architecture of a product
• Experience with cross-disciplinary hardware prototyping, including mechanical, electrical, and software
• Experience working with and controlling sensors and actuators
• Knowledge of high-volume manufacturing techniques
• Experience with statistical tolerance analysis techniques for precision mechanical design
• Testing and analysis experience with a focus on hands-on testing, with some simulation experience
• Working knowledge in material properties of plastics, metals, and adhesives
• Strong analytical skills, data-driven decision making
