Senior Software Engineer (Agentic CAD)

Join Awerx, a new startup business unit within Relativity Space, as a Senior Software Engineer. Awerx is focused on building agentic CAD and operations tools for both Relativity and external customers. As a senior engineer, you will own the architecture of a shared core 3D engine, support teams in bringing agentic designs to reality, and lead the customer-facing side of product engineering. You will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative environment with a focus on aerospace technology.

• Architect and maintain the core architecture of a shared core 3D engine that supports multiple customer-specific products.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to turn product requirements into architecture that holds up as the product line grows.
• Lead the customer-facing side of product engineering and integrated product enhancements while maintaining mission-critical agentic capabilities.

• 5+ years of experience in software architecture, ideally on multi-platform products (game engines, CAD tools, or similar)
• Comfortable working across several coding languages, with deep experience in one or two
• Experience working across products or teams, and demonstrated ability to learn entirely new domains and technologies beyond existing experience
• Experience running agents at home (beyond Claude Code), and are Comfortable using agentic coding tools day to day, with good judgement on what agents are outputting
• Hands-on experience developing with 20th century CAD vintages or CAD ecosystems (SolidWorks, Teamcenter, NX, plugin development)
• GPU / CUDA programming/tuning experience
• Shipping and maintaining software for multiple architectures with feature parity and reliability across all
• Mechanical engineering background, or having built real things with CAD / 3D printers
