Senior Software Engineer (Mobile, iOS)

Join Compass as a Senior Software Engineer (Mobile, iOS) and help build a platform that enhances the home buying and selling experience. You will be a technical leader in your team, collaborating with engineers, product, and design counterparts to take projects from idea to completion. You will guide junior engineers, influence product improvements, and drive engineering-led initiatives. The ideal candidate has 8+ years of iOS development experience, strong leadership skills, and a passion for mentoring.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies
• 8+ years of professional iOS development experience building, architecting, and maintaining production-grade applications shipped to the App Store. The ideal candidate possesses deep expertise in modern Swift practices, including SwiftUI and Swift Concurrency, along with a strong grasp of scalable mobile architecture and the Apple deployment ecosystem
• Experience leading the development of a project from planning to release, dispatching work among a team, mentoring and guiding junior engineers
• Ability to collaborate with Product, Design and Engineering stakeholders to implement solutions which surprise and delight our customers
• Master Computer Science fundamentals and iOS design patterns and best practices
• Experience integrating with RESTful server-side services
• Passion about mentoring and helping more junior engineers to grow
• A sheer eye for design and attention to detail, the products you build should not merely be functional but should take in context and anticipate our customer’s needs in a beautiful way
• BS in CS or equivalent practical experience
• Experience with AI tools
