Emergency Department Tech - Emergency Department - Nights

Job Summary

The Emergency Department Tech I-IV performs various technical duties and tasks which include assisting with direct and indirect treatment and care of patients.

Essential Job Functions Accountabilities

• Obtains and records vital signs, I/O's, weights, basic ECG monitoring, venipuncture/IV skills, bedside testing, and documents in the patients record as directed by the licensed personnel.
• Provides emergency first aid treatment.
• Responds to medical emergencies.
• Performs basic patient care with consideration for age and developmental stage.
• Transports patients by wheelchair or stretcher.
• Notifies nurse of abnormal findings or changes in patient status.
• Performs clerical functions.
• Monitors patients requiring constant observation and documents as directed.
• Accesses and navigates through Epic.
