Job Summary

The Emergency Medical Tech II performs various technical duties and tasks which include assisting with direct and indirect treatment and care of patients.

Essential Job Functions Accountabilities

• Performs EKGs, venipuncture (not applicable to the Emergency Department), IV skills, and bedside testing.
• Provides emergency first aid treatment.
• Responds to medical emergencies.
• Performs basic patient care with consideration for age and developmental stage.
• Transports patients by wheelchair or stretcher.
• Notifies nurse of abnormal findings or changes in patient status.
• Performs clerical functions.
• Accesses and navigates through Epic.
