Senior Billing Specialist

As a Senior Billing Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing the increased complexity of our billing processes. You will collaborate closely with team members, ensure invoice accuracy, manage daily cash application, and provide guidance on invoice processing. This hands-on role requires a strong background in billing, cash application, and familiarity with billing software.

• Collaborate closely with team members to ensure invoice accuracy, manage daily cash application, and provide guidance on invoice processing.
• Review customer contracts and correspondence, interpreting ambiguous contract language to determine correct billing treatment.
• Play a key role in ongoing process improvements and workflow refinement within Zone, and manage increased workload during peak Fund Admin billing cycles.

• Background in collections is advantageous, though the primary emphasis remains on billing mastery
• Proven capability to analyze vague contract terms and determine precise billing consequences
• Highly resourceful with the capability to independently investigate and resolve questions when details are scarce
• Proficiency in cash and payment applications, including matching and posting customer payments against invoices
• Practical familiarity with Zone or equivalent NetSuite-native billing software, including the ability to train and guide team members
• Adept at utilizing AI productivity tools (such as ChatGPT and Claude) to enhance daily workflows
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, particularly utilizing calculations from the Fund Admin team, is a distinct plus
• At least 4 years of professional billing experience, particularly with intricate billing scenarios
• Familiarity with Salesforce for navigating and extracting contract, account, and opportunity details
• Strong interpersonal skills to interact with cross-functional internal stakeholders and a proactive approach to asking clarifying questions
• Collaborative mindset with a strong emphasis on teamwork; comfortable guiding colleagues on workflows without needing a formal title
• Prior background in the Services and SaaS sectors is preferred
