Embedded Software Engineer

Join AnySignal's Space Software team as an Embedded Software Engineer. You will take ownership of mission-critical embedded systems, from design and implementation to testing and deployment. Your work will span the embedded software stack, supporting reliable communications and sensing capabilities across demanding space and defense missions. You will design, develop, and test reliable C++ code running on Linux-based embedded systems, support hardware bring-up, and work directly with customers to integrate products into their flight systems.

• Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues across embedded hardware and software systems
• Experience developing embedded software on Linux platforms
• Ability to own a complete system, including software and everything that it interfaces with
• Proficiency in C++
• 3+ years of professional experience developing embedded software
• Experience with network programming, including TCP/IP, UDP, and socket programming in embedded Linux environments
• Working knowledge of digital signal processing, modem design, and RF communications concepts
• Experience developing fault-tolerant software for mission-critical applications, especially in radiation environments
• Experience with board bring-up, schematic review, and troubleshooting hardware
• Hands-on experience testing and debugging RF hardware in a lab environment using spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, and other RF test equipment
• Experience with embedded Linux platform development, including Buildroot, U-Boot, and Xilinx FSBL creation
• Experience developing for Xilinx MPSoC-based devices
• Experience writing RTL for FPGAs or software that interacts with the FPGA fabric
• Experience with Python, build systems (CMake, Make, Bazel), and CI pipeline development (GitLab)
