About OpenLoop

OpenLoop was co-founded by CEO, Dr. Jon Lensing, and COO, Christian Williams, with the vision to bring care anywhere. Our telehealth support solutions are thoughtfully designed to streamline and simplify go-to-market care delivery for companies offering meaningful virtual support to patients across an expansive array of specialties, in all 50 states.

About the Role

OpenLoop’s mission is to bring care anywhere by powering telehealth solutions at scale. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing our billing operations, accounts receivable (AR), and revenue recognition. This role will supervise and provide guidance to a team of Billing Analysts, while also collaborating cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, and Client Success to streamline processes, improve controls, and deliver timely and accurate invoicing and collections. The ideal candidate combines a deep understanding of billing, AR, and revenue processes with strong leadership skills and a continuous improvement mindset.

What You'll Do

  • Supervise, mentor, and develop the Billing Analyst team, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with policies.

  • Serve as an escalation point for complex billing inquiries, disputes, and operational challenges.

  • Foster accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement in billing and AR.

  • Oversee the full billing cycle, ensuring timely, accurate, and contract-compliant invoicing.

  • Monitor and reconcile billing data, resolving discrepancies with the Billing Specialist.

  • Implement quality controls to minimize errors and improve efficiency.

  • Partner cross-functionally to document billing requirements for new clients, products, and services.

  • Manage accounts receivable, including aging reports, collections, and cash application.

  • Set and enforce AR policies on credit, collections, and escalation.

  • Collaborate with Sales and Client Success to resolve payment issues while maintaining strong relationships.

  • Provide reporting and analysis of AR metrics, cash flow, and collection performance.

  • Ensure revenue recognition aligns with accounting standards and company policies.

  • Support Finance with month-end close, reconciliations, and reporting.

  • Analyze billing, AR, and revenue trends to identify risks, variances, and optimization opportunities.

  • Leverage AI-assisted analysis to identify patterns, anomalies, and optimization opportunities in billing, AR, and revenue data.

  • Evaluate and implement AI solutions for process automation, control enhancement, and operational efficiency.

  • Support audits and compliance, preparing necessary documentation.

  • Drive process improvements, automation, and system enhancements for scalability.

  • Establish and monitor KPIs for billing accuracy, collections, timeliness, and revenue realization.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (CPA or MBA a plus).

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in billing, accounts receivable, or revenue management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.

  • Strong knowledge of billing systems, AR management, revenue recognition principles, and GAAP compliance.

  • Experience managing invoicing and collections for complex contracts (e.g., subscription, usage-based, or service-based models).

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to see the “big picture” of process optimization and scalability.

  • Proficiency in accounting and billing software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, or equivalent), as well as Excel/Google Sheets.

  • Comfortable using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude) for data analysis, documentation, and problem-solving; data literacy and ability to evaluate AI-generated insights; openness to exploring AI-assisted automation within billing and AR workflows.

  • Fully remote, with a strong preference for candidates able to work core business hours aligned with Central Time (CT).

Our Benefits

In addition, for salaried positions you would also be eligible for:
