Job Overview

Saronic Technologies is seeking a Manufacturing Systems Engineering Technician to provide hands-on technical support across our manufacturing environment. This role sits at the intersection of IT and production, ensuring that critical systems—such as Zebra printers, barcode scanners, production workstations, and manufacturing applications—operate reliably and efficiently. You will be a key partner to IT, manufacturing, and operations teams, supporting day-to-day production activities while driving continuous improvement in systems, processes, and uptime.

Responsibilities

  • Provide frontline and escalated support for manufacturing systems and operational technology, including Zebra printers (ZPL configuration and troubleshooting), barcode scanners, production-floor workstations and displays, shop-floor networking, and connected IoT devices.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, application, and network issues impacting production, with urgency and precision to minimize downtime.

  • Act as a primary responder for manufacturing system incidents and coordinate cross-functional resolution efforts when necessary.

  • Support data-related tasks and production workflows, including basic query troubleshooting (SQL, Splunk; Python is a plus).

Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 3+ years of experience in technical support, IT/OT, or a similar role.

  • Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and networking issues.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users.

  • Strong problem-solving mindset, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with manufacturing systems (MES, PLCs, SCADA).

  • Experience with industrial label printers (Zebra, ZPL, BarTender, etc.).

  • Experience supporting production environments or shop-floor systems.

Benefits

  • Saronic pays 100% of the premium for employees and 80% for dependents

  • Dental and Vision Insurance: Coverage for routine dental check-ups, orthodontics, and vision care
