GovCloud Software Engineer

Join our GovCloud Developer Platform team as a Software Engineer. You will work on building and maintaining a large-scale distributed systems engineering platform for high-compliance environments. Your responsibilities will include implementing microservices, participating in on-call rotations, and ensuring high availability and security compliance. You will collaborate closely with senior engineers and have the opportunity to work with tools such as Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes.

• Collaborate with senior engineers to implement microservices and ensure high availability and security compliance.
• Build and maintain microservices and cloud infrastructure using tools such as Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Participate in the team’s on-call rotation, handling common alerts and utilizing team telemetry to troubleshoot operational problems.

• Experience working within Agile development methodologies, Test-Driven Development (TDD), and writing well-tested code
• Proficiency in at least one modern language such as Python, Go, or Java
• Familiarity with cloud-native tooling and orchestration (e.g., Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes)
• 2 - 4 years of experience in a software development role building and managing cloud infrastructure or distributed systems
• Strong willingness to ask questions, learn system architectures, and collaborate effectively with a team
