Staff Software Engineer (UI Tooling)

Join our team as a Staff Software Engineer on the UI Tooling team. You will lead the development of our prototyping and rapid deployment platform, Kyber, and drive its implementation, maintenance, and scaling. You will also set the technical direction for the platform, write and review code, and partner with various teams to translate objectives into platform capabilities. Additionally, you will mentor engineers and foster a collaborative and inclusive culture.

• Lead the prototyping and rapid deployment platform, Kyber, by driving implementation, maintenance, and scaling of the system.
• Own the strategy and execution across rebuilding Kyber onto next-generation cloud platforms, evolving its capabilities, and integrating it into the ecosystem.
• Set technical direction for the Kyber platform, making architectural decisions, writing and reviewing code, and mentoring engineers.

• Proven experience building customer-facing products from zero to one, contributing to product definition, technical architecture, development and launch
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience driving initiatives that span across teams, departments and leadership
• 9+ years of industry experience, ideally within fast-paced environments, with a track record of delivering large-scale service oriented systems
• Sound technical judgment, with the ability to balance speed of delivery, experimentation, scalability and long-term engineering quality
• A product-first engineering mindset, with an understanding that technical decisions are in service of the products we provide to our customers
• Broad full-stack engineering capability, with the confidence to work across backend, frontend, mobile, APIs and system architecture as technical challenges require
• Strong architectural design skills, including high-scale distributed services, well-designed APIs, data pipelines, efficient algorithms and reliable integrations
• End-to-end product ownership, with experience iterating on launched products, responding to customer feedback and improving adoption, usability and business outcomes
