Director of Accounting

Join our collaborative and detail-oriented Accounting team as the Director of Accounting. In this role, you will lead the full accounting team, providing strategic direction for technical and complex accounting matters. You will be responsible for the month-end close process, mentoring and coaching team members, leading the annual audit, coordinating the preparation of U.S. GAAP financial statements, and identifying areas for process improvement. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience managing an accounting team, an active CPA license, and a comprehensive knowledge of U.S. GAAP.

• Lead the Accounting and accounting operations teams through month-end close, ensuring accurate recording of revenue and costs.
• Mentor, coach, and lead the Accounting team by supporting career development and encouraging team members to expand their skills.
• Identify areas for process improvement, partner with appropriate stakeholders, and implement improvements independently, including the use of AI tools and automation.

• 4+ years of experience managing an accounting team, including remote work management
• Active CPA license
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and partner with management to establish appropriate deadlines
• Thoughtful approach to collaboration, process design, and decision-making that prioritizes equity, access, and continuous learning
• Experience using AI tools, such as Microsoft Copilot or similar large language models, to improve efficiency
• Commitment to creating inclusive, respectful environments where all voices are valued and supported
• Confidence communicating financial results and accounting implications to relevant stakeholders
• Comprehensive knowledge of U.S. GAAP
• 10+ years of accounting experience
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to work independently and collaborate cross-functionally to meet deadlines
• Understanding of internal controls and experience creating process documentation
