Operational Buyer/ Planner

At JBT Marel , we are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Operational Buyer/ Planner who enjoys taking ownership, collaborating with suppliers, and continuously improving processes. As part of our Planning & Procurement team in Lichtenvoorde, the Netherlands , you will play a key role in ensuring materials, components, and outsourced assemblies are delivered on time and to the highest standards. The Operational Buyer at JBT Marel manages day-to-day purchasing activities, coordinates with suppliers and internal stakeholders, and ensures timely material availability. The role follows established procedures to resolve routine purchasing issues while developing procurement expertise under guidance.

What you will do

• Order Management Placing purchase orders.
• Monitoring delivery times.
• Maintaining up-to-date supplier master data at the item level.
• Liaising with suppliers.
• Handling internal communication regarding delivery times.
• Invoice Management Minimizing price discrepancies.
• Checking and approving invoices.
• Complaints/ Repairs Handling complaints and repairs involving suppliers.
• Analysis/ Process Improvement Analyzing, identifying, and proposing actions regarding inventory strategies and stock levels.
• Conducting analyses to drive improvements in the purchasing process.
• Contributing to improvements in the purchasing process.

What you will bring

• Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work and thinking level.
• Approximately 3+ years of relevant experience in Purchasing, Procurement, Supply Chain, or a related discipline.
• Candidates with vocational background and substantial relevant experience are also encouraged to apply.
• Experience working with ERP systems.
• Professional proficiency in Dutch and English.
• Competencies Strong sense of ownership and responsibility.
• Analytical and solution-oriented mindset.
• Ability to manage priorities and work independently.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Continuous improvement mentality.
• Team player with a proactive and hands-on approach.
