Job Description

Join Crusoe's Finance team as a Senior Financial Analyst, where you will own headcount and operating expense finance across the company. This highly visible role involves planning, budgeting, forecasting, and actuals reporting, ensuring alignment between leadership and the business. You will partner with various departments, lead the annual budgeting process, and improve tools and processes for tracking and reporting. This is a full-time, exempt position with comprehensive health benefits, paid time off, a 401(k) matching program, and mental wellness resources.

  • Own the headcount plan and forecast across the company, partnering with People and department leaders to track open reqs, hiring pace, and attrition against plan.
  • Lead the annual budgeting and in-year OpEx forecasting process across departments, working with budget owners to build defensible, well-documented plans.
  • Serve as the go-to finance contact for department leaders on headcount and OpEx questions, helping them understand their budgets and make informed trade-offs.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with People/Recruiting teams and translate hiring plans into financial impact
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain budget and variance drivers clearly to non-finance stakeholders
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field required
  • Track record of owning a budgeting and actuals reporting process end-to-end, including variance analysis and stakeholder communication
  • Excellent attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership over data accuracy — headcount and OpEx numbers get scrutinized by leadership every month
  • 3+ years of progressive finance experience, including meaningful ownership of headcount and/or OpEx planning and reporting
  • Strong financial modeling skills, with advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and experience with planning tools (e.g., Anaplan, Adaptive, Workday, or similar)
