Tax/Motor Vehicle Technician - Ogden DMV

Job Duties

As a Motor Vehicle Technician, you will:

• Issue license plates, permits, registrations, certificates, etc. Receive, research and respond to incoming questions or complaints; provide information, explain policy and procedures, and/or facilitate a resolution.
• Process transactions at a Point of Sale system, give correct change and close cash drawer at the end of shift.
• Assist the public and others to complete forms, applications and other paperwork.
• Examine documents to verify applicability, legibility, completeness, accuracy, and/or consistency of information from one document to another, etc. Communicate information and ideas clearly and concisely, in writing and/or verbally; read and understand information presented in writing.
• Perform comprehensive physical inspection of motor vehicles to verify the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN).
• Salary Non-state employees are hired for this position at $19.68 an hour.
• We are unable to negotiate hourly wage amounts.
• DHRM rules apply for promotions/transfers for current state employees.
