Part-Time Instructor - MUSI) Brenham High School - Dual Credit

Job Summary

Conduct all duties and responsibilities as defined in the Blinn College Faculty Handbook for a part-time faculty member. Instructor will teach MUSI courses at Brenham High School Principal Accountabilities Teach dual credit core curriculum music classes as assigned by the Dean, Assistant Dean, or Department Head in conjunction with Brenham High School Staff.

Demonstrate a commitment to student engagement, student success, and instructional excellence Maintain regular office hours and access to students through posted office hours and electronic communication Prepare and utilize a course syllabus and assessments for each course using guidelines established by the institution Maintain current knowledge of effective teaching methodologies, delivery methods, classroom media, and educational resources.

Evaluate students' performance through a variety of means to measure progress and keep them informed in a timely manner Assist in the development, distribution, and collection of assessments for course and program objectives Provide recommendations to the Academic Dean, Assistant Dean, Department Head, and Curriculum Resource Team regarding curriculum Demonstrate a positive and professional relationship with students, colleagues, college administration, and the community Submit timely reports and forms to the appropriate division/department Exhibit a commitment to lifelong learning through participation in professional development activities Demonstrate effective communication skills, both written and orally Attend college orientation and required institutional meetings
