Surg Tech - Main OR, Evenings

Responsibilities

Piedmont Henry - Main ORSurgical TechnologistFull Time Evenings RESPONSIBLE FOR:

• Facilitating patient care by assisting the physician during surgery in the Operating Room (OR) for multiple specialties, performing technical and some patient care duties under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
• Functions as a clinical specialist across numerous service specialty lines.
• Assumes additional responsibilities for maintaining surgical specialties as necessary and serves as a resource.
• Functions on a more global level and is more involved in detailed surgical endeavors related to the surgery department.

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Graduate of a Surgical Technology Program or LPN program.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Surgical Tech Certification and 3 years of experience required.
• In lieu of Surgical Tech certification, 7 years of experience can be substituted for certification for a total requirement of 10 years Surgical Tech experience.

MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW

Current GA LPN License if applicable.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Certification as a Surgical Technologist Required or Licensed as an LPN required.
• BLS certification required.
