Responsibilities

• Specialized medical professionals in the art of roentgenography.
• Patient care specialist that works as both individual-care-provider and as part of a diagnostic team under the guidance of a Diagnostic Supervisor & the Radiologists.
• Performs tasks abiding by P&P, State Regulations, & ALARA radiation safety principles.
• Utilizes x-ray photon producing equipment to image the human body.
• Works under potentially stressful situations i.e., trauma cases.
• Performs a variety of imaging procedures and is responsible for patient safety protocols.
• Functions as the first line interface with customers in the successful accomplishment of their imaging needs.
• Participates in CQI activities.

Qualifications

Education

• High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE) or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required
• Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology required Licenses and Certifications
• BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required
• CRT - State of California Certified Radiologic Technologist required
• CRTFP - State of California Radiologic Tech Fluoroscopy Permit required within 180 days of hire or transfer into position Disclaimers
