Head of Organic Growth

Join Function as the Head of Organic Growth, where you will lead product-led and content-led strategies to drive member growth without relying on paid channels. You will own three key pillars: increasing member-to-member spread, maximizing conversion and revenue, and building organic discovery authority. This is a hands-on role that requires deep execution and collaboration with various teams.

• Increased member-to-member spread through referral programs, in-product sharing moments, and social proof mechanics.
• Maximized conversion and revenue through website, app, product, and lifecycle funnels — from first touch to paid member to advocate.
• Built and maintained organic discovery authority across traditional search, AI-driven answers, and YouTube.

• Deep technical SEO fluency: crawl architecture, Core Web Vitals, schema, indexing strategy, and log-file analysis
• Strong CRO chops — A/B testing methodology, statistical significance, funnel decomposition
• Experience growing YouTube or video as an organic discovery channel — video SEO, packaging (titles, thumbnails, hooks), and audience retention mechanics
• 10+ years in organic growth, SEO, or product-led growth, with a track record of compounding results
• Experience building or managing small, high-output teams and agency/contractor relationships
• Uses AI tools — Claude, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Cursor, etc. — as a genuine force multiplier, not a novelty
• Strong written communicator who can simplify complex growth concepts for cross-functional and executive audiences
• Hands-on operator who runs experiments themselves — not just directs others to run them
• Comfortable operating in an early-stage growth environment: ambiguous, fast, high-ownership
• Experience in health, wellness, consumer subscription, or another high-trust category is a plus
• Demonstrated experience designing or scaling referral programs with measurable k-factor impact
• Fluent in GEO and AI-driven search: how LLMs surface brands, what signals matter, and how to earn placement
• Proficient with analytics and experimentation tools (GA4, Amplitude, Looker, or equivalent); can pull and interpret your own data
