Job Description
Join Galatea, a groundbreaking AI-powered storytelling platform, as a Content Operations & Strategy Manager. In this multifaceted role, you will shape the narrative direction of our story catalogue, manage content sourcing and scheduling across 10 local markets, and drive user engagement and retention. You will also collaborate with creative teams, tailor content strategies to fit local markets, and utilize data to inform content decisions. This position offers comprehensive health plans, a dog-friendly office, expat integration support, free lunches, professional coaching, and regular social events.
- Sourcing, scheduling, and pricing content across multiple markets to ensure cost efficiencies and drive user engagement.
- Building workflows that reduce production costs while maintaining high production quality, and incorporating AI into workflows for operational excellence.
- Utilizing data to inform content decisions, translating complex analytics into actionable insights, and continuously optimizing content strategy based on user behavior.
- Strong analytical skills. You turn data into decisions and can show the outcomes
- Able to work onsite in San Francisco 5 days a week
- Data driven
- Speed and resourcefulness. Clear examples of delivering a lot, quickly, with little: shipping without a full team or budget, or iterating fast to a result
- Professional experience in a media business: publishing, streaming, studio, creator platform, games, audio or a closely adjacent content business
- Looking for exponential career growth
- Strong cross-functional collaborator. You work well with creatives, marketing and product, and can explain complex ideas to both creative and analytical teams
- Autonomous
- A high functioning workaholic
- Breadth. Hands-on experience across at least three of: editorial or creative, growth or marketing, partnerships, operations or production, data and analytics, people management
- Have lots of fun building a generational AI x Entertainment company
- Quick to action
- We expect most successful candidates to have roughly 5 to 10 years of experience. This is a guide, not a cutoff: strong launched impact matters more than years
- Bring solutions instead of problems
- A track record of launched impact. You have personally started something, owned it through launch and can quantify the result at business scale. Improving an existing channel or running a small pilot is not enough on its own
- Experience in romance, fantasy or serialized fiction, or in short-form video
- An MBA or advanced degree
- Experience writing or developing fiction, screenplays or serialized content
- Hands-on AI or automation work inside a creative or production workflow
- Startup experience, ideally at an early stage (founding team, seed to Series A) or on something you started yourself
