Product Design Intern (Summer 2027)

Join Amplify, a leading education technology company, as a Product Design Intern for the summer of 2027. In this role, you will support the end-to-end design process, collaborate with cross-functional teams, assist with the creation and maintenance of design system components, build interactive prototypes, contribute to user research activities, and track and organize design feedback. You will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the K-12 education technology field while gaining valuable experience in product design.

• Support the end-to-end design process for Amplify's web and mobile product suite, from initial concept to final design delivery.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate user needs and business requirements into intuitive design solutions.
• Assist with the creation and maintenance of design system components, UI patterns, style guides, and interaction specifications.

• Education: Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program, returning to school in Fall 2027
• Knowledge of and interest in the K–12 education technology field
• Preferred Qualifications for Product Design Interns:
• Full-time availability to participate from June 7, 2027, through August 13, 2027
• Ability to synthesize information, identify themes, and communicate insights clearly
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Working knowledge of design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar platforms
• Exposure to user research methodologies including usability testing, user interviews, card sorting, or journey mapping
• Background in UX/UI design, interaction design, or visual design through coursework, personal projects, freelance work, or prior internships — a portfolio demonstrating design thinking and process is strongly preferred
• Interest in accessibility standards (WCAG), inclusive design, design systems, motion design, or educational product design
• Comfort with front-end development concepts and code (HTML/CSS/JS) and design handoff tools to facilitate effective collaboration with engineering teams
