Staff Industrial Designer

Join Hims & Hers as a Staff Industrial Designer, where you'll apply your expert-level craft across multiple design disciplines and help build design systems that scale across projects. You'll tackle complex design challenges, shape creative direction for major projects, and mentor your peers. This is a temporary position for 12 months, offering generous PTO, full healthcare coverage, retirement planning, and the flexibility to work from anywhere in the US.

• Working knowledge of manufacturing processes (injection molding, overmolding, extrusion, sheet metal, soft goods) and DFM principles
• Demonstrated ability to resolve complex, ambiguous design problems across more than one initiative at a time
• Experience partnering directly with engineering and operations teams to take products from concept to production
• Demonstrated ability to mentor peers and elevate collaboration standards, even without formal management responsibility
• Comfort working independently in a fast-paced, ambiguous, remote environment as a contractor embedded with a small design team, including periodic travel as needed
• Experience contributing to design systems, CMF standards, or frameworks that scale across multiple projects
• Deep fluency in industrial design tools: sketching, 3D CAD (Rhino/SolidWorks/Fusion 360), rendering (KeyShot), and hands-on prototyping
• A portfolio demonstrating expert craft across multiple creative disciplines, from concept sketches to shipped, manufactured products. (Please include a link to your portfolio with your application.)
• 8+ years in industrial design, with meaningful experience designing physical consumer or health/medical hardware that has shipped at scale
