Finance & Strategy (Datacenter Strategic Initiatives)

Join Anthropic, a leading AI safety and research company, as a Strategic Finance Lead. In this role, you will own the operating P&L for our datacenter infrastructure partnerships, providing financial expertise and guidance to keep our sites on budget, drive operating costs down, and de-risk our largest infrastructure exposures. You will also lead financial analysis for site-level optimization initiatives and partner with the Datacenter Expansion lead on deal-to-operations handoffs. • Comfort being the finance person in the partner/vendor room and partnering with technical operating teams
• Owned an infrastructure operating P&L and driven cost-out programs against it
• Bias towards action, strong work ethic, and experience driving operational outcomes under tight timelines
• Strong relationship building, business judgment, process management, and communication skills
• Experience in strategic finance, infrastructure investment, FP&A, private equity, consulting, or investment banking, preferably with datacenter, energy, real estate, telco, or managed-services infrastructure experience
• Exceptional analytical skills with an ability to synthesize data into compelling insights and develop complex financial operating models

• Required field of study: A field relevant to the role as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience
• Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience
• Minimum years of experience: Years of experience required will correlate with the internal job level requirements for the position

• 7+ years of experience in strategic finance, infrastructure investment, FP&A, private equity, consulting, or investment banking
• Direct experience with datacenter, colocation, or power (PPA / energy procurement) economics and contract structures
• Experience managing finance cadence with a third-party operator or managed-services provider
• Background in AI, ML, or high-performance, large-scale computing infrastructure
• MBA or other advanced degree in finance, economics, or business
• Proficiency with financial modeling tools and languages (SQL, Python, Excel)
