Accounts Payable Specialist

Join Impulse Space as an Accounts Payable Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for creating processes and procedures to maintain vendor history and process payments. You will ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments, maintain vendor and customer databases, and address inquiries related to accounts payable functions. Additionally, you will create policies and procedures, work with the financial analyst to preserve cash flow, generate accurate accruals, assist in month-end closing, and participate in the financial audit process.

• Ensure all invoices and payments are processed accurately and timely using the ERP system, and maintain both Vendor and Customer databases in the ERP System.
• Create processes and procedures to maintain the vendor history and process payments to vendors, and address all inquiries directed towards Accounts Payable functions in a timely fashion.
• Work with the Financial Analyst to develop and establish rules to preserve cash flow, and generate accurate accruals at month-end and monitor actuals received against it.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2+ years of demonstrated experience in Accounts Payable
• Knowledge of Indirect taxes, for eg. Sales Tax
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Understanding of internal controls over initiation, authorization, processing, recording, and reporting of AP transactions
• Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
• Experience with SAP & other ERP systems will be a plus
• 3+ years' of demonstrated AP experience working in an aerospace or start-up environment
• Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize
• Ability to work independently with a strong sense of urgency
• Strong organization skill with a high degree of attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to effectively communicate with all levels of staff and management
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
