Product Design Intern

Join Matic, a company dedicated to bringing advanced robotics into everyday life. As a Product Design Intern, you will play a crucial role in shaping how people interact with robots in their homes. You will work closely with design and engineering teams to explore new possibilities, build prototypes, and refine interactions. Your work will involve using Figma and AI tools to bring concepts to life, testing how they feel, and helping the team decide what to build. This internship offers the opportunity to contribute to meaningful product work while developing your own design judgment.

• Construire des prototypes interactifs avec Figma et des outils d'IA pour évaluer les concepts et communiquer l'intention de conception.
• Collaborer avec les ingénieurs pour comprendre les possibilités, travailler à travers les contraintes et concrétiser les idées dans le produit.

• Care for the small details and an interest in how they contribute to the whole experience
• Curiosity about technology and a habit of asking how an experience could be better
• Strong foundations in interaction and visual design, including layout, typography, hierarchy, and composition
• Openness to feedback and a willingness to experiment, iterate, and learn
• The ability to communicate your ideas clearly and explain the decisions behind your work
• A portfolio that shows thoughtful problem-solving, design craft, and your approach to developing ideas. School, personal, and internship projects are welcome
• Comfort working in Figma and enthusiasm for exploring AI tools in your design process
• Experience building functional prototypes with AI tools or code
• Interest in consumer technology, robotics, and products that connect digital and physical experiences
• An understanding of mobile design patterns, accessibility, or design systems
• Familiarity with motion design or spatial interactions
