Senior Software Engineer (Backend)

Join our team as a Senior Software Engineer (Backend) and take ownership of large-scale projects from discovery to launch, focusing on customer impact. Collaborate with a cross-functional team to solve customer challenges, improve system performance, and promote engineering excellence. You will enhance our high-volume processing infrastructure, testing, monitoring, and deployment infrastructure, while ensuring data security. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of professional experience, proficiency in SQL, and experience with cloud infrastructure management, preferably AWS.

• Independently own large-scoped projects from initial discovery through launch, focusing on outcomes and customer impact.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to find solutions to customer challenges and improve the performance, reliability, and scalability of existing systems.
• Promote engineering excellence through technical leadership, knowledge-sharing, and mentorship, while enhancing testing, monitoring, and continuous deployment infrastructure.

• You are self-driven and like to work with others to remove roadblocks. You are curious, and love to explore and learn new technologies
• You have demonstrated the ability to build, deploy and maintain large-scale, complex applications
• You care more about solutions and impacting the customer experience than using a particular tool or framework
• Proficiency with SQL
• Minimum of 5 years of professional hands-on experience
• Experience working closely with designers and product managers
• Proficiency with cloud infrastructure management, preferably AWS
• Mastery of modern server side languages, Golang is a plus but not required
• Experience supporting and mentoring other engineers and acting as a “force multiplier”
