• Partner directly with the founders to shape company and product strategy, translate vision into engineering priorities, and take ownership of decisions required to scale the business.
• Build a world-class engineering organization by scaling the team, attracting exceptional talent, and building the organization needed to capitalize on demand.
• Turn product innovation into the next phase of growth by developing and launching major new product lines, enabling multiple product bets to run in parallel without sacrificing speed, quality, or reliability.

• Strong product and business judgment. Has owned a product line end to end and understands how engineering decisions connect to customer needs, product outcomes, and company growth
• Deep technical credibility. A hands on engineering leader with strong experience across modern backend systems, cloud infrastructure, platform architecture, and systems at scale
• An exceptional talent builder. Has a track record of identifying, recruiting, developing, and retaining high caliber engineers and views recruiting as a core part of the job
• A first principles, high agency leader. Low ego, comfortable with ambiguity, willing to give direct feedback, and thoughtful about designing the right processes and operating rhythms for the company’s current stage rather than importing a playbook from somewhere else
• Proven scaling experience. Has scaled an engineering organization from roughly 10 to 50 engineers at an early stage company and understands the challenges that come with rapid growth
