Senior Manager of Software Engineering

Join our team as a Senior Manager of Software Engineering, where you will lead and scale our Platform & Video Infrastructure organization. You will oversee a distributed team of Senior Engineers, Tech Leads, and Engineering Managers, driving platform reliability, scaling security architectures, and aligning complex partner ecosystems. You will also be responsible for org development, culture and operations, resource and budget management, infrastructure excellence, security and infrastructure as code, roadmap and execution, complex media and AI engineering, connector ecosystem partnership, and executive stakeholder advisory.

• Lead and scale a distributed engineering organization, establishing career pathways and performance management standards for senior talent.
• Drive strategic decisions for platform scalability, availability, and cost efficiency across the GCP footprint, and oversee the architectural strategy for asynchronous media processing.
• Partner closely with Product, Security, and Executive Leadership to shape enterprise-wide architectural standards, integration policies, and platform capabilities.

• Strategic Impact: Proven track record of managing multi-team organizations, owning operational budgets, and driving technical strategy for high-scale platform systems
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
• Track Record: 10+ years of progressive software, infrastructure, and platform engineering experience, including 3+ years in direct engineering management leading distributed teams and 2+ years of DevOps experience
• Media & Cryptographic Protocols: Experience overseeing asynchronous video processing pipelines (transcoding, live/recorded streaming) and cryptographic integrity standards (SHA-256 chain-of-custody protocols)
• GCP & Cloud Infrastructure: In-depth knowledge of GCP platform services (GKE, Shared VPC, VPC Service Controls, IAM/Workload Identity Federation, Cloud Storage, Anthos Service Mesh) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
• Language & Architecture Expertise: Hands-on background in Java (Spring Boot microservices) and Python (AI/agentic workflows, evidence verification processing); deep expertise in event-driven microservices (Kafka)
• Security & Enterprise Integration: Solid understanding of modern identity and access management (OIDC, Workload Identity), secure zero-trust networking (mTLS, OAuth 2.0), and enterprise API integration patterns
• AND 2 + years of DevOps experience
• Bachelor degree with 10+ years of progressive software/infrastructure/platform engineering experience
• AND 3+ years of engineering management experience
• Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain necessary security clearance as required by government contract
