Commercial Counsel

In this role, you will support commercial contracts across the business and advise on corporate, compliance, privacy, IP, and legal operations questions. You will work closely with various departments, draft and negotiate agreements, provide practical legal advice, review marketing collateral, and monitor changes in laws and regulations. • Draft, review, and negotiate agreements related to sales, partnerships, and customer delivery, including technology licensing and software agreements.
• Provide practical advice to business teams on intellectual property, data privacy, security, artificial intelligence, and software licensing questions.
• Work with Legal Operations and Contracts to build and evolve playbooks, templates, and policies to scale with the business.

• The role suits a commercial contracts attorney who learns quickly, is adaptable, and is interested in broadening their skills as an in-house generalist
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and active admission to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
• A clear, low-ego, collaborative communicator and team player
• Sound commercial judgment, and the ability to explain legal risk to non-lawyers in plain terms
• Curiosity about new areas of legal practice and a desire to broaden your skill set to operate across the business
• Experience with technology transactions or general commercial contracting preferred (SaaS agreements, licensing, vendor contracts, or similar)
• 4+ years of experience in commercial/transactional legal work
